Brown-Forman Announces Broker Awards

Brown-Forman honored its top brokers at the annual Broker of the Year Awards, recognizing top sellers from FY2014. Winners received a check to benefit a charity of their choice. From the press release:

 

Louisville, KY (June 2, 2014): Brown-Forman hosted its 18th annual Broker of the Year Awards on Sunday, May 18th, crowning both Heavyweight and Middleweight winners for the 2014 fiscal year. Great Lake Wine and Spirits of Michigan captured the Heavyweight Winner title while Reliable Churchill of Montgomery County, Maryland was awarded Middleweight Winning honors. The two champion distributors were recognized “in the boxing ring” at the Broker Awards dinner in Marco Island, FL before attending the 77th annual NABCA conference.

The Brown-Forman Broker Awards are based on measurable objectives including volume goals, distribution, and other brand-building activities during the company’s fiscal year, ending April 30, 2014. Each winner received a pair of golden boxing gloves, a prize fighting bell plaque, and a $5,000 check to benefit the charity of their choice.

Marc Satterthwaite, Vice President of Sales Operations and Johnny Manuel, Senior Vice President of Sales, both from Brown-Forman, were on hand to lead the event and congratulate the winning brokers. Lew Cooper, Co-CEO of Great Lakes Wine & Spirits, credited “The close working relationship of Great Lakes and Brown-Forman as absolutely critical to our overall success in Michigan.” Reliable Churchill VP, General Sales Manager, Bruce Richardson stated, “I am proud to lead a great team that continues to win every day with these exceptional brands.”
