1800 Tequila will be introducing new bottle closures in May, 2015.
The new metalized caps on Silver, Coconut and Reposado, and dark wood cap on Añejo, deliver a sleeker, more modern look for the brand, according to the company.
There are no other changes being made to the bottle or to the tequila. 1800 Tequila will maintain the trapezoid shape and the same liquid.

It takes all the fun and intrigue out ! I’ll save my old bottle.
I still don’t understand the reason for the change in tops. Now I have to pour my new 1800 Silver into my old bottle, as I greatly prefer the former top. What I really dislike is explaining that I used a funnel to pour the new contents into my old bottle. Whether folks say it or not, some likely think that I bought a supermarket brand of tequila and poured it into an 1800 bottle; kinda like pouring a cheap bourbon into my Blanton’s.
I liked the old bottle since 1800 gold is all I can drink.. pouring the shot in the top was a good thrill and challenge!
