Novo Fogo has announced its newest expression: Graciosa Cachaça.
Novo Fogo is an organic, Brazilian cachaça handcrafted in small batches at a zero-waste distillery, just meters from the edge of the Atlantic Rainforest in the southern state of Paraná.
Released in 2016 for the first time, the Graciosa is aged for two years in repurposed oak and finished for 18 months in castanheira do Pará (Brazil nut) barrels. The company says that this lends the spirit a vibrantly aromatic yet creamy disposition, with pecan and orchids on the nose, flavors of cherry custard and finishing notes of soft clove and anise.
Graciosa Cachaça is 42% ABV, and has a suggested retail price of $34.99 per 750-ml. bottle.
