Teeling 24-Year-Old Irish Single Malt

Teeling Whiskey has released a new bottling from its Vintage Reserve Collection: the Teeling 24-Year-Old Irish Single Malt.

This whiskey was distilled in 1991 and double matured, first in Bourbon casks, then in Sauterne wine casks. The dual maturation imparts an extra depth of fruit flavors, the company reports, that pair well with notes of smoke derived from the inclusion of a small portion of Peated malt.

This small-batch bottling, limited to just 1,000 bottles, was bottled in decanters and comes with their own certificate of authenticity.

“We are extremely proud to be able to release some of the oldest ever bottlings of Irish Single Malt with our Teeling 24-Year-Old Single Malt Irish Whiskey,” said Jack Teeling, founder of the Teeling Whiskey Company, in a press release. “This offering is central to our goal to help drive diversity in Irish whiskey by introducing interesting and unique small batch bottlings.”

The Teeling 24-Year-Old Single Malt Irish Whiskey will be available across the nation early December at a suggested retail price of $499.99 per 750-ml. bottle. This is bottled at 46% ABV with no chill filtration.
