250 Aniversario Rolling Stones Special Edition Jose Cuervo

Jose Cuervo has launched their oldest tequila to date, the 250 Aniversario Rolling Stones Special Edition. The bottle is now available in fine liquor stores for a suggested retail price of $4,000 per set.

This extra añejo tequila is blended with a reserve of 100-year-old blanco tequila from the Cuervo family’s private cellar. The tequila blend then spends one year resting in Spanish sherry casks.

During the summer of 1972, The Rolling Stones went on tour across North America, taking Jose Cuervo along for the ride. They discovered Jose Cuervo tequila and fell in love with the Tequila Sunrise cocktail, the company says, and after, their tour was nicknamed the ‘Tequila Sunrise Tour.” This bottle pays homage to the role Jose Cuervo played in the Rolling Stones 1972 North American Tour and the luxury and glamour of the time, the company says.

The bottle itself is adorned with the iconic lapping tongue symbol cast in 14-karat gold, protected by golden spikes and comes with a glass blown stopper. And all are protected in a leather-bound guitar case.
