The Macallan 1991 Fine & Rare Vintage

 The Macallan has unveiled its newest edition to the Fine & Rare collection: 1991 Fine & Rare vintage.

The Macallan’s Master Whisky Maker, Bob Dalgarno, selected cask No. 7021, an American oak Vasyma puncheon sherry seasoned in Jerez, Spain. The cask was filled with The Macallan new make spirit on March 28, 1991. This whisky is bottled at a natural cask strength of 49.4% ABV.

The 1991 Fine & Rare vintage will retail at approximately $10,000 per 750-ml. bottle.

Tasting notes:
Color: Glossy Cinnamon
Aroma: Apple, dried fruit and vanilla are followed by ginger, nutmeg and almonds
Palate: Sweet spice, raisin and fig.
Finish: Notes of fruit, soft oak and velvet sweetness
