Jura Launches Two More Whiskies in New Signature Series

Jura Single Malt Whisky has launched two new whiskies in the U.S. as part of its new range, Jura Signature Series, which will replace the current range of Origin, Superstition, Diurachs’ Own 16 YO and Prophecy.

Jura Seven Wood and Jura 18 have joined Jura 10, which launched exclusively in the U.S. in January of last year.

With sweetness from American White Oak ex-bourbon barrels and a hint of smoke, each whisky in the Jura Signature Series also finishes in selected casks from around Europe. This combination sees Highland and Island styles combined.

Seven Wood, 42% ABV, is influenced by seven French and American Oak barrels. The whisky initially matured in first-fill American White Oak ex-bourbon barrels. Then it finished in six French Oak casks: Limousin, Tronçais, Allier, Vosges, Jupilles and Les Bertranges casks. This single malt has peach aromas, candied orange taste and a subtle smoke finish.

Jura 18 matured in American White Oak ex-bourbon barrels before finishing in Premier Grand Cru Classé French red wine barrique. With an ABV of 44%, this is a rich spirit with aromas of toffee, black forest fruits flavors and a bitter chocolate finish, the company says.
