Pearl Persephone copy David Sherman Corporation has added a line extension to its Original Pearl Vodka with the debut of Pearl Persephone, the first superpremium pomegranate-flavored vodka. Pearl Persephone is available nationally in four sizes: 50 ml, 750 ml, 1 liter and 1.75 liters. The 70 proof product retails for about $20 per 750 ml bottle.


Three Olives Berry copyWhite Rock Distilleries has added three new flavors to its Three Olives Vodka line: Berry, Citrus and Grape. The three new flavors join the existing six flavors — Three Olives Cherry, Vanilla, Raspberry, Chocolate, Orange and Green Apple — of the increasingly popular 70 proof vodka line. Available in a variety of sizes, Three Olives has a suggested retail of $19.99 for a 750 ml bottle.

Tequila Rose copyMcCormick Distilling debuted a new package for Tequila Rose, a strawberry-flavored cream liqueur and tequila. The new packaging features a sleek, pyramid-shaped bottle, with a satin finish, updated label and a more upscale appearance. The brand is available in 1.75 liter, 1 liter, 750 ml, 375 ml, 200 ml and 50 ml sizes.

Dulseda Liqueur copyDiageo has introduced Dulseda, a superpremium liqueur inspired by the taste of the traditional Latin dulce de leche, and made with a blend of select Caribbean rums and real cream. Dulce de leche, which means “milk jam,” has a cultural resonance across all hispanic communities, the company says. Indeed, the entire front of the bottle is written in Spanish, enhancing the product’s Latin provenance and authenticity. The new brand is available in 50 ml, 375 ml and 750 ml bottles and has a suggested average retail price of $19.99 for a 750 ml.


Cuervo Classico bottle copyJose Cuervo International unveiled an updated look — with a cleaner, more contemporary design than previously — for its Jose Cuervo Especial and Jose Cuervo Clasico premium tequilas. The new slightly taller bottle and richer label bring higher quality and premium cues to the package, the company says, while remaining true to the brands’ distinct, Mexican image.


St. Francis RED copy St. Francis Winery has introduced Red, a Sonoma County blend of zinfandel, merlot, cabernet sauvignon and sangiovese. It is full-bodied, features ripe red fruit flavors and spicy aromas, and offers a unique approach to packaging — each case offers 12 bottles of Red with 12 different labels highlighted by a distinct design. The wine retails for $12.


PAL_Boundary Road Sav BlanPalandri wines from Western Australia is introducing a competitively priced line of premium wines called Boundary Road. The new line features a crisp 2004 Sauvignon Blanc, with citrus character, and a 2002 Shiraz, highlighted by blackberry, pepper, spice and vanilla on a long finish. Suggested retail for both is $10-$11. Palandri has also added a 2002 Cabernet Merlot, with forward red fruit and a soft mouthfeel, and a 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon, with balanced tannins and an impressive taste and character. Both join the existing Palandri line (Chardonnay, Shiraz and Merlot), which all retail for approximately $13-$14.


Hiram Walker Sour AppleHiram Walker Liqueurs debuted a new look for its schnapps, brandy and cocktail mixers. The lines now sport a contemporary look, including actual photography on the labels to highlight the all-natural flavors used to create the cordials and liqueurs. The Hiram Walker logo has also been refreshed, and the bottle has been redesigned with ridges on the collar, allowing for a better grip and easier pouring.


The renowned estate of WWE. Dr. H. Thanisch Erben Muller-Burggraeff has introduced a special dessert wine, available for the winter/holiday season: Rudolf Muller Riesling Eiswein 2004. The wine is rich, featuring aromas and flavors of apricot, peach and honey. It can be paired with cheeses and fruit-based desserts, or consumed as an after-dinner drink. It retails for $18.99 for a 375 ml bottle. The estate has also released three new vintages of its Riesling Classic 2004 ($16.99 for 750 ml bottle), Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling-Kabinett 2004 ($19) and Bernkasteler Graben Riesling-Spatlese 2004 ($26).


DELAFORange copyDelaforce, a tawny port specialist, has introduced four colheitas from the 1944, 1952, 1965 and 1986 vintages. Packaged in sleek, slim 500 ml bottles, the tawny ports make ideal hostess or holiday gifts. Suggested retail prices are: $358 for the 1944; $214 for the 1952; $114 for the 1965 and $33 for the 1986. Kobrand Corp. is the importer.


REYKAReyka Vodka, launched in the U.S. last September by William Grant & Sons, is both distilled and bottled in Iceland. Reyka, which means “steam” or “smoke” in Icelandic, is sourced from naturally demineralized glacial water from the Grabrok Spring and uses lava rock filtration. The vodka’s flavor profile is fresh with a light spiciness and underlying savory grain on the nose. Reyka Vodka is 80 proof and retails for approximately $22.99 for a 750 ml bottle.


Bowmore copyBowmore Distillery has debuted two new limited-edition single malt Scotch whiskies. Imported by White Rock Distilleries, Bowmore 1989, 16 Years Old, is bottled “straight from the cask,” at a natural cask strength of 51.8% alcohol and is non-chill filtered. The 1989 yielded 3,000 bottles (750 ml), and comes in an elegant, tan parchment-lined box, and retails for about $95. The Bowmore 1971, 34 Years Old, produced 960 bottles worldwide, and is packaged in a stylish black, polished wood box, priced at approximately $799.
