Luchador Margarita Mix is the of alcohol industry veteran John Eason and Mexican restauranteur and chef Adam Gonzalez. It features a natural lime taste with limited artificial colors or flavors, the company said.
The Margarita is still the top cocktail in the United States, according to the company, while Margarita Ready to Drink brands are a two million case a year industry in the United States.
A partnership with Prairie Creek Beverages and various distribution partnerships will fast-track the roll-out and reach consumers across key markets, the company said.
Luchador Margarita Mix and Ready to Drink Margaritas are produced in Dallas, TX by Southwest Distillery.
Initial markets include TX and LA, through a distribution partnership with Glazers, as well as FL through RNDC with additional key metro’s added by 2016. Luchador Magarita Mix is available in 1-liter bottles for a suggested retail price of $4.99 and 1.75-litter bottles for a SRP of $7.99.
Luchador is best enjoyed in a Fresh “Lucha Libre” Margarita, a Frozen Maragita as well as mixes well with classic rum and vodka cocktails, the company said.
