Sam Adams has announced its winter beer lineup, along with the new Rebel Grapefruit IPA.
The newest beer from the Rebel family of IPAs, Rebel Grapefruit IPA is brewed with both the juice and peel of real grapefruit, the company says.
This showcases a citrus flavor, the company says, amplifying the tropical fruit notes of the Mosaic hops.
Rebel Grapefruit will be available nationwide on-draft only starting in November, and will be in bottles and cans in early 2016.
The suggested retail price for six-packs is $7.99-$9.99, $14.99-$17.99 for 12-packs of 12-oz. cans, and $1.99-$2.49 for 16-oz cans. Price varies by market.
Seasonally, Sam Adams will once again bring back its Winter Lager, which was first introduced in 1989.
This spiced wheat bock contains classic winter spices, the company says, like cinnamon, ginger and orange peel, which give the beer the perfect amount of warming spice as the days get shorter and colder.
The Winter Lager will be available nationwide in November and December in six-packs for a suggested retail price of $7.99-$9.99, 12-packs (bottles and cans) for a suggested retail price of $14.99-$17.99, and on draft.
It will also be available in the Samuel Adams Winter Classics Variety 12-Pack (with Boston Lager, White Christmas, Old Fezziwig, Holiday Porter and Sparkling Ale) for a suggested retail price of $14.99-$17.99, and 24 packs for a suggested retail price of $22.99-$24.99. Price for each package varies by market.
