Wyoming Whiskey Barrel Strength Bourbon

WWBoxIMG_0121Wyoming Whiskey this month released its first-ever Barrel Strength Bourbon.

Ten gallons of 116-proof and twelve gallons of 120-proof bourbon sold out before it could even hit shelves.

Retailing for $199 in a paperless, minimalist bottle with enamel labeling — and in a 3/8″-thick wood box — a grand total of 111 bottles were produced. Of those, 96 were made available for sale.

The Barrel Strength Bourbon was selected for its excellence by Wyoming Whiskey distiller Sam Mead, with the support of industry specialist Nancy Fraley.

The extremely limited Wyoming Whiskey Barrel Strength bourbon boasted a review by The Whiskey Cast’s Mark Gillespie, who scored it a 97 out of 100.

Wyoming Whiskey is also releasing two pallets of Single Barrel Bourbon that represents the top 1% of barrels from their three warehouses.  The Single Barrel has won numerous medals from international and craft spirits competitions and sells out almost immediately.  It will be allocated to a number of select markets across the country.
