Crown Royal has announced the Noble Collection, a new line that will annually release limited-batch whiskies.
The name Noble Collection recalls Crown Royal’s roots, as the brand was originally created as a gift for King George VI when he visited Canada in 1939.
The first expression released from the Noble Collection, Crown Royal Cornerstone Blend, showcases three whiskies to the signature taste and mouthfeel of Crown Royal. These are a spicy Canadian Rye, a creamy coffey still whisky and a bourbon-style whisky matured in charred American white oak.
Cornerstone Blend has a nose of cherry pie, baking spice and dry toasted oak shavings, the company said, and flavors of sweet red apples ands oaky spice with a slight tartness for balance. The finish is a fade to gentle wood spice.
The suggested retail price is $59.99 per 750-ml. bottle. The whisky is 80.6 proof.
Cornerstone Blend and all following Noble Collection will be available nationwide in limited quantities.
