Les Dauphins Côtes du Rhône Village Wines

The Rhône Valley wine brand Les Dauphins has announced the launch of two new wines in the United States.

cdr-dauphinspuymerasrgewebFocusing on expanding its collection of Côtes du Rhône wines, Les Dauphins will be releasing two prestige Côtes du Rhône Villages offerings in the form of an Organic Côtes du Rhône Villages Rouge 2015 (SRP: $14.99 per 750-ml. bottle) and a Côtes du Rhône Villages Puyméras Rouge 2014 (SRP: $17.99).

With growing interest in village and cru-level classified wines from regions such as Beaujolais, Les Dauphins believes that the timing is perfect for showcasing the Côtes du Rhône Villages appellation, the company says.

Produced from vineyard sources with an average age of 40 years in the south of Drôme and north of Vaucluse in Southern Rhône, the Les Dauphins Organic Côtes du Rhône Village Rouge 2015 is a blend of certified organic Grenache (60%), Syrah (30%), Mouvèdre (5%) and Carignan (5%) grapes. The wine will be released in November through importer Monsieur Touton

Produced from vineyards sources with an average age of 30 years in Southern Rhône’s classified winegrowing region of Puymeras, the Les Dauphins Côtes du Rhône Villages Puyméras Rouge 2014 is a blend of Grenache (70%), Syrah (20%) and (10%). The wine will be released in November 2016 through importer Plume Ridge
