Edrington Announces Executive Leadership Changes

Edrington, the international premium spirits company, today announced changes to the executive leadership team for its Edrington Americas business unit.

The leadership change will “spearhead the continued development of Edrington brands in the region,” the company says in a press release.

Christopher Spalding has been promoted to the role of President & CEO Edrington Americas. Spalding was “heavily” involved in the creation of Edrington Americas, the company says, and is currently the SVP & Commercial Director – North America. Spalding has worked on Edrington brands since 2003, initially in Canada, and in 2008 he joined Edrington’s global commercial business looking after the Northern USA.

“With a balanced commercial and marketing background, he is a strong advocate for both the customer and the consumer,” the company says.

Paul Ross will join the Edrington Global Leadership Team and has been named Managing Director of Super Premium & Innovation. This global role will be based at Edrington’s new headquarters in Glasgow and will commence April 1, 2017.

I am proud of what Edrington Americas has accomplished since its formation in 2014 by achieving exceptional growth of the world’s most acclaimed spirit brands, including The Macallan, Highland Park, Brugal, The Famous Grouse, Cutty Sark and Snow Leopard vodka,” Ross says. “In my new role, the US will remain a focus of Super Premium & Innovation and I look forward to the continued growth in the region.”

Spalding adds, “I am excited to lead this new chapter at Edrington Americas. Paul Ross has been an excellent mentor and we wish Paul the very best in his new Global role. I will provide a continuity of leadership and continue to champion our company values of giving more; to consumers in the glass by providing the best quality spirits possible and to charitable causes to improve our communities. Growing our portfolio value is my key priority and the recent addition of Tequila Partida is an excellent jump start for that.”
