Italian drinks company Gruppo Campari reported a global net sales growth of 4.2% in Fiscal Year 2016.
The U.S. is the group’s largest market, accounting for 24.8% of total sales. Key drivers in America were the positive performance of Wild Turkey (+1.4%) and the Italian specialties, particularly Aperol (+42.8%) and Campari (+8.6% globally).
Espolòn showed a continued strong double digit growth momentum in the U.S.
Globally, SKYY Vodka sales achieved an organic change of -1.4%, with the Infusions portfolio bringing down the results for the franchise. The core SKYY Vodka was slightly up on the year (+0.2%), despite a tough comparable base (+1.7% in full year 2015).
SKYY was able to hold market position in the highly competitive US market, the company says, while the brand continues to expand its international footprint (22.2% of global sales).

Gruppo Camapari expanded its portfolio in 2016 by buying Bulldog Gin as well as Grand Marnier.
