The Bordeaux brand Mouton Cadet debuts today as the official wine of the 35th America’s Cup sailing competition, with its limited-edition America’s Cup Special Cuvée

“The America’s Cup’s venerable heritage as the competition for the oldest trophy in international sports complements Mouton Cadet’s high technical skill and commitment to excellence at all levels,” the company says in a press release.

“This partnership makes perfect sense: we are both international brands with a strong history,” adds Philippe Sereys de Rothschild, CEO of the family company Baron Philippe de Rothschild.

The America’s Cup Special Cuvée will serve as the official wine of the month-long competition, scheduled to run from Saturday, May 27th to Tuesday, June 27th . The glass-etched design on the bottle was signed by Sir Russell Coutts, five-time winner of the America’s Cup, who shares.

The limited edition red, white and rosé wines accompany the sailing events, allowing wine-lovers and sailing enthusiasts alike the chance to participate in one of the sport’s most prestigious events, the company says.
