Ravage California Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

Hitting shelves now is the Ravage California Cabernet Sauvignon 2015.

Ravage Cabernet offers layered notes of dark berries, vanilla and mocha, the company says, complemented by soft tannins and a smooth mouthfeel.

Aging occurred 100% in new French oak barrels. The blend is 76% cabernet sauvignon, 10% merlot, 10% zinfandel, 3% Syrah and 1% other reds. The ABV is 13.5%.

The 2015 vintage came in fast and early with loose clusters and small berries ripening rapidly in the heat, the company reports. Solid canopies and low tonnage helped flavors come into balance.

The retail price is $12.99 per 750-ml. bottle.
