José Zuccardi Malbec 2013

Familia Zuccardi has introduced the latest addition within the Zuccardi collection, José Zuccardi Malbec 2013. The new wine was created by Sebastian Zuccardi to honor his father José Alberto, and will be imported to the United States by Winesellers, Ltd.

José Zuccardi is 90% Malbec (Paraje Altamira; 3,608 ft. above sea level) and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon (Gualtallary; 4,460 ft. above sea level). The wine is fermented in concrete vessels and is aged in large oak foudres. It has a ruby-red color with aromas of black raspberry and fresh herbs on the nose, the company reports, with layers of chalky textures that fill out the finish.

“José Zuccardi Malbec 2013 is the evolution of the Zuccardi Zeta label, made with a more traditional style that symbolizes José’s passion for the family’s wine, respect for the origin of the grapes, and his conviction for mountain wines,” says Adam Sager, Winesellers Ltd. Vice President.
