Speyburn 15 Years Old

The single malt Scotch brand Speyburn has added a new limited-release whisky to its portfolio: Speyburn 15 Years Old.

Made in Speyside, the 15 Years Old is created using water from the Granty Burn, a tributary of the River Spey. The expression matured in American and Spanish oak casks.

Aromas include notes of dark chocolate, vanilla, orange, raisins and spice, the company reports, with tastes of citrus fruits before a creamy, warm finish.

A total of 3,500 cases of the Speyburn 15 Years Old will be available annually. The selection is bottled at 46% ABV (92 proof) and is available in the U.S. from importer 375 Park Avenue Spirits as of November. The suggested retail price is $65 per 750-ml. bottle.

To coincide with the release of the 15 Years Old, Speyburn has also introduced refreshed packaging. Along with a new label design, the products are now displayed in redesigned cartons featuring the Speyburn Distillery.
