Misadventure & Co., a new craft vodka company based in San Diego, was founded by agricultural economist Samuel Chereskin and artist/bartender Whit Rigali. The two say they have discovered a process to create vodka with 100 percent of its raw materials coming from the local food bank.
“Essentially anything you can imagine from your local bakery aisle goes into the creation of this high-quality vodka,” the company says.
The result is Misadventure Vodka.
Misadventure is made using pot distillation and carbon filtration. Served locally in San Diego and sold online, Misadventure Vodka has a suggested retail price of $21.99 per 750-ml. bottle.
