Hornitos Tequila has launched its new Hornitos Cristalino Tequila on the heels of the company’s A Shot Worth Taking marketing campaign, which debuted on Mexican Independence Day.
Hornitos Cristalino starts as a triple-distilled, 100% blue agave añejo tequila, aged at least 12 months in American white oak casks. Then it undergoes a process that filters and stirs the spirit to uncover herbal, fresh, agave-forward notes typical of a Plata tequila, the company says.
The final product has honey and floral notes, the company reports, with vanilla and butterscotch flavors wrapped in toasted wood. The tequila is clear from the filtering.
Hornitos Cristalino is 80 proof and available for a suggested retail price of $29.99 for a 750-ml. bottle. The tequila can be sipped on the rocks or neat or mixed in a cocktail with club soda and fresh grapefruit.
