South Bay Rum is made in the Dominican Republic from molasses.
On the nose, South Bay Rum has hints of vanilla, ripe fruits, sherry, caramel and toffee, the company says. On the palate is buttered rum candy with nutmeg and spices, followed by caramel and creamy vanilla flavors.
Now available in Florida, South Bay Rum is blended under the supervision of Ron Maestro Pedro Ramon Lopez Oliver. South Bay Rum has a suggested retail price of $29 per 750-ml bottle, and is distributed by D&S Beverages.
