The new Plungerhead Unoaked Chardonnay is sourced from vineyards in California’s Lodi winegrowing region. Grapes were harvested earlier than usual, the company says, and then went through fermentation followed by cold stabilization in stainless steel with no oak influences.
Plungerhead Unoaked Chardonnay will release this spring for national distribution. The suggested retail price is $14 per 750-ml. bottle.
“Unoaked Chardonnay is not widely available and this wine is a great expression of Chardonnay’s wonderful fruit character,” says August Sebastiani, president of 3 Badge Beverage Corporation.
