Out East Rosé

Out East Rosé is a new Côtes de Provence rosé from an estate in Monfort-sur-Argens, France, in the heart of Provence and one-hour north of Saint-Tropez.

The name ‘Out East’ references the New York vernacular for the Hamptons, where rosé has come to exemplify the relaxed luxury lifestyle.

Out East Rosé is dry, crisp and has bright mineral tension, its producers say, with aromas of white peach, citrus zest and wild red berries, plus hints of white flowers and baking spices.

The grapes come from vines grown on the limestone and clay soils of the cool climate of “Green Provence,” giving the wine freshness and vitality, its producers say. The rosé is a blend of grenache and cinsault and features a pale color with peach nuance.

Out East Rosé hits shelves this month and will retail for $24.99 per 750-ml. bottle.

At first it will be available at select restaurants and wine stores in New York City and the Hamptons including Highway Restaurant (Wainscott); Surf Lodge (Montauk); Bar Belly (Lower East Side/NYC); Park Place Wines (East Hampton); and 67 Wine & Spirits (Upper West Side). Additional select restaurants and retailers will be announced in the coming weeks.

Out East Rosé is the brainchild of Maggie Slavonic, an Emmy-award winning creative director, and Patrick Mitchell, the managing partner of a strategy and marketing company.
