Space Age Rosé

Winemaker Josh Phelps has announced the release of his first rosé from his American wine label, Grounded Wine Company: Space Age Rosé .

Made 100% from grenache grapes from three parcels in the Paso Robles appellation, the rosé “showcases California terroir with an elegant expression of the popular pink wine,” the company says.

Thanks to Grenache’s low-yielding vines, the wine’s flavor is concentrated with tastes of summer fruits – peach, strawberry and watermelon, the company says. From gentle pressing through cold fermentation, the color is a pale salmon. There is delicate spiciness in the finish.

The singular colors of the label along with the bold typography and an elliptical form are inspired by liquor labels from the 1960’s, with the blue on smooth, creamy paper against the back drop of the pink rosé, creating a retro color palette reminiscent of the American flag, with a nostalgic focus.

Grounded Wine Co.’s Space Age Rosé is available at select liquor stores throughout the country — as well as for sale directly from the brand’s website, GroundedWineCo.com — for a suggested retail price of $20 per 750-ml. bottle.
