The GlenDronach 15 Year Old Revival

After a three-year hiatus, The GlenDronach 15 Year Old Revival has returned.

This Highland Scotch is 46% ABV and non-chill filtered. The GlenDronach 15 Year Old Revival matured in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks.

Initially available exclusively at The GlenDronach Distillery, it will arrive in the U.S. in mid-October 2018, with nationwide distribution. The GlenDronach had discontinued its 15-year-old Scotch in 2015 because of supply constraints.

The suggested retail price for The GlenDronach 15 Year Old Revival is $89.99 per 750-ml. bottle.

On the nose the whisky displays maraschino cherry, ripe blackberries and dark chocolate mint with hints of orange bitters and walnut liqueur, the company reports. On the palate are honey-glazed apricot and ripe fig with black cherry, angelica and muscovado sugar, the company says, with a finish of  dark manuka honey, herbal bitters and dark chocolate.
