Tussock Jumper Cuvée des Fêtes 2017 Pinot Noir

Tussock Jumper has announced that their newest wine, the Tussock Jumper Cuvée des Fêtes 2017 Pinot Noir blend from France, has arrived in the U.S. in time for the holidays.

The suggested retail price is $12.99 per 750-ml. bottle.

Now available through Tri-Vin Imports, this 2017 vintage was sourced using 100% pinot noir grapes grown in three different regions of France. The first was sourced from high-altitude vineyards in the south of France. The second amount was then harvested from vineyards located in central France, and the third from a vineyard in eastern Jura, one of France’s more obscure wine regions.

Dark ruby in color, the Tussock Jumper 2017 Cuvée des Fêtes Pinot Noir vintage reflects the ‘fruits of the forest floor’, with both old and new vines incorporated into the blend, the company says. Aromas of dark fruits, spice and light oak. On the palate, crushed dark berries, ripe plums and cherry jam are present, the company says, with balanced tannins. Pair this wine as an aperitif with hors d’oeuvres, roasted poultry dishes, rich desserts like black forest cake, and chocolate holiday cookies.

Download Tussock Jumper’s AR app on the Play Store or iTunes, and point it at the label to hear wine tasting notes, pairing suggestions and ‘Bernard’ share his holiday wishes for the season.
