Dublin Liberties Distillery Opens $11M Facility in Ireland

The Irish whiskey industry continues to grow.

The Dublin Liberties Distillery this week opened a new $11-million facility in the heart of Dublin’s Liberties district.

The company’s whiskey portfolio includes the brands The Dubliner and The Dublin Liberties. It will now commence production at the distillery under the supervision of Master Distiller Darryl McNally (pictured atop).

The new distillery includes a cocktail bar and visitor experience: an addition to Dublin’s growing whiskey tourism scene, which saw over one million visitors to Irish distilleries and whiskey experiences in 2018.

The development of the new distillery has seen the renovation of a 400-year-old building, preserving its original architecture and façade. The distillery combines traditional distillation practices with the latest in modern technologies, the company says, and features a natural spring water source on site to be used in the distilling process.

The distillery is under the umbrella of Quintessential Brands, while Stock Spirits bought a 25% equity stake in the distillery and its brands in July 2017.
