Woodford Reserve Rereleases Kentucky Straight Malt Whiskey

Woodford Reserve has announced the second release of its Woodford Reserve Kentucky Straight Malt.

The grain-forward whiskey sold out within two months after originally hitting shelves in June 2018, the company reports. The grain bill is 51 percent malt.

Aromas include soft nutty notes with light caramel and milk chocolate coating a light layer of tropical fruit character, the company reports, plus hints of brown spice, mint, brown sugar and soft oak. The palate is dark chocolate and caramel-covered nuts, with notes of cocoa and brown spice, plus faint tropical fruit with a trace of toasted coconut and oak. The finish is nutty with a subtly sweet chocolate malt note.
