Delicato Family Three Finger Jack Cabernet Sauvignon

The Indelicato family has unveiled 2016 Three Finger Jack East Side Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon from Lodi, CA.

It’s made from vineyards located 100 miles east of the San Francisco Bay, at the edge of the San Joaquin-Sacramento River Delta and below the Sierra Foothills.

Delicato Family Wines founder Cheryl Indelicato

Delicato Family Wines founder Cheryl Indelicato introduced Three Finger Jack with a series of dinners in late September, including a live fire pairing at Marta in New York. Indelicato explained that the wine was inspired by the legend of Three Finger Jack, a local outlaw, during the Gold Rush days.

The Lodi vineyards’ rugged location is key for making the cabernet, Indelicato adds, as the cobblestone-heavy soil is low on nutrients. This left the vines stressed, the company says, and produced intense color and flavors in the fruit.

Three Finger Jack is now available for a suggested retail price of $22 per 750-ml. bottle.
