Kim Crawford Rolls Out Sauvignon Blanc in Slim Cans

Leading New Zealand wine brand Kim Crawford has unveiled a slim can version of its top-selling Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.

The canned version hits shelves with the 2019 vintage. The new packaging is making its way into select markets now in limited quantities, and will be more widely available to consumers beginning January 2020.

“Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc is a fresh and bright wine with crisp acidity and tropical fruit flavors that complement the refreshing appeal of cans, which is why our Sauvignon Blanc drinks especially well out of cans and why this introduction is so exciting,” explains says Kim Crawford Winemaker Anthony Walkenhorst. “We did a lot of quality testing on our side to make sure the wine remains consistent with what our consumers have come to expect from the brand, and I believe everyone is going to really enjoy this new, portable and fun way to sip on their favorite Sauvignon Blanc.”

The vintage-dated Sauvignon Blanc comes in 250-ml. cans that are sold in a two-pack for suggested retail price of $12.99 per pack.

This comes as the wine format increasingly evolves into canned and other nontraditional formats.
