Barrell Craft Spirits Releases Two New Whiskey Blends

Independent blender Barrell Craft Spirits has unveiled its latest two whiskey expressions.

Barrell Bourbon Batch 023 is a combination of 10-, 12- and 15-year-old straight bourbon whiskies that were distilled and aged in Tennessee, Kentucky and Indiana. This batch focuses on a balance of “richness and depth from the older barrel,” the company reports, with the 15-year-old barrels layered in to bring out notes of tropical fruit and Angelica spice.

Barrell Bourbon Batch 023 is 107.78 proof and retails for a suggested price of $89.99 per 750-ml. bottle.

Barrell Rye Batch 003 is a mix of rye whiskies from Indiana, Poland, Tennessee and Canada, featuring a selection of 4-, 6-, and 14-year-old barrels. The team started with Tennessee rye barrels with caramel and dried fruit notes, the company reports, and then added the Polish rye for its nuttiness and mouthfeel. They then layered in the 13-year Canadian rye to bring out earthy notes. The Indiana rye was for balance.

Barrell Rye Batch 003 is 116.7 proof and retails for a suggested price of $89.99 per 750-ml. bottle.
