The Senator is a rye whiskey from Proof & Wood Ventures and spirits industry veteran Dave Schmier, founder of Redemption Rye.
Distilled in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, The Senator 6 Year Old Barrel Proof Straight Rye Whiskey has a mashbill that’s 95% rye and 5% malted barley. Each batch of The Senator is composed of between 10 – 20 selected barrels and bottled at barrel proof.
This rye is made small batches with limited distribution. The Senator is currently available Washington, D.C., NY, DE, MD, CA, AZ NV, WA, OR, IL, KY and where Proof & Wood’s products are distributed, at a suggested retail price of $79.99 per 750-ml. bottle.
