Walsh Whiskey has released the 2020 vintage of The Irishman Vintage Cask.
This year’s expression is limited to 3,500 bottles worldwide, with 750 assigned to the U.S. Â
The Irishman Vintage Cask 2020 edition is the 12th release since it debuted in 2008. This whiskey is a marriage of aged single pot, aged still and single malt, matured in first-fill bourbon casks, non-chill filtered and cut to 55.2% ABV.
The recommended retail price is $140 per 750-ml. bottle. Each bottle comes in a wooden cask, uniquely numbered, with a dated certificate signed by Bernard Walsh, co-founder of Walsh Whiskey and creator of The Irishman.Â
Distillery-provided tasting notes describe this spirit as having a creamy walnut nose with oak spices, before a palate of stone fruits, nutmeg, honey blossom and fig.
