The deal includes the Canadian Mist distillery in Collingwood, Canada, and was made official on July 31, according to the company release. Brown-Forman first disclosed this business move back in June.

Brown-Forman is now out of the Canadian whisky industry, shedding in Canadian Mist the third-highest selling Canadian whisky brand in the world. Instead, the company intends to focus on its American whiskey brands, which include Jack Daniel’s, Woodford Reserve and Old Forester.
