Launched in 1992, Skyy Vodka has announced updated branding for 2021 — along with a new vodka recipe.
In formulating this refresh, Skyy acted upon an opportunity to enhance its liquid for a new generation of vodka drinkers who gravitate towards soda water as their go-to mixer, the company says.
That same pursuit led Skyy to explore naturally occurring elements found in the coastal waters surrounding San Francisco. These minerals impart a “subtle salinity and minerality to the liquid,” the company says, intended to enhance the mouthfeel and fresh taste of the vodka and soda.
To achieve the final product, SKYY brought together a collective chemists, professional bartenders and a water sommelier. The result is a liquid that is fresh and clean on the nose with a hint of fruit and toasted grain, coupled with a clean, smooth taste on the palate, the company says, all designed to pair with soda water and a grapefruit twist, SKYY’s signature pour.
“In the vodka world, filtration reigns supreme. But we think that what defines a premium liquid experience isn’t what you take out of it, it’s what you put into it,” says Andrea Sengara, vice president of marketing of Campari America. “Inspired by the pure, clean and refreshing essence of the Pacific, SKYY Vodka is proud to return to its roots by challenging category norms to stand out in a sea of sameness.”
SKYY’s refreshed packaging design is also inspired by the San Francisco Bay Area. The new bottle is a lighter, more natural blue tone, with ripples and ridges that reflect the waves of the Pacific Ocean. The new pack also includes a modernized, restyled white logo.
SKYY Vodka is available at retailers nationwide for a suggested retail price of $12.99 per 750-ml. bottle.
This follows the brand’s launch of Skyy Infusions Cold Brew Coffee.

I liked the old bottle – The new bottle is thin and cheap.
I like the new bottle but don’t like the vodka it tastes totally different

I agree with Chris above, the flow is TOO restricted. I put my SKYY bottles in the freezer and when I go to pour it in a glass it just drizzles out…it’s VERY SLOW, AND….I can’t even pop out the piece inside, like the other design, to make things pour quicker. As far as the glass design, it makes it better to grip the bottle to pour, which is great but, my hands freeze up because it take forever to pour. I will now have to resort to buying another brand because of this. I have already emailed Skky about this.
i agree! the pour valve makes it pour too slowly. would be so much better if at least it was removable!
Please bring back the old sky vodka recipe I do not like the new one it tastes sweet why change what I considered to be a wonderful vodka for a martini now it tastes like soda

Whatever you did to the vodka it now leaves u with nasty hang over . Need to change back to the old recipe this is absolutely terrible now
I think the refresh is amazing. The new bottle is MUCH better than the old. It’s almost Art Deco in design. I love it. The new recipe is absolutely delicious. Genius idea that was long overdue.
Not a fan of the new bottle especially with the non-removable plastic governor.
New bottle short neck is a disaster. Can’t grip the bottle properly. Less glass just to save money. If it’s not broken don’t fix it.

I have purchased Skyy vodka for years, I will now be looking for a new brand! Don’t like the taste of the new recipe, bottle neck too short to pick up from the top, no pour spout in the neck. SHAME for messing up a great product.
The new bottle is terrible. The stubby neck is awful and the lack of a pour insert in the top of the liter bottles makes it impossible to pour clean. You get an oversized pour, or one that is not enough, then top off the small pour…then it is to much. I’m a female and my hands struggle to deal with the short neck. I like the ridged bottle, but the pour and the neck suck.
I don’t like the new bottle either, watch your fingers getting pinched with the short neck. Always pouring way to much without the pourer governor thing a majig. If you have an old bottle you will thank me for saving one
Hate it. The lack of a pour control is awful. Hate to go to Tito but I’m gone.
Same as the rest, I don’t like not having the pour spout,liquid comes out too fast.love the taste but will change to something with a pour spout.
