Rabbit Hole Distillery launches this month in the United Kingdom, one of Europe’s most important markets for American whiskey.
Rabbit Hole’s Heigold Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey, a high rye, double malt bourbon, and its Boxergrail Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey, a sour mash rye, are both now available in the UK.
The Whiskey Exchange, House of Malt, Masters of Malt and Gordan and Macphail are among retailers that have begun selling Rabbit Hole, along with leading on-premise UK wholesalers such as Speciality Drinks, Venus and Enotria.
Additional retailers and wholesalers are expected to begin carrying the brand in the UK in the coming weeks.
Rabbit Hole is distributed in the UK by Pernod Ricard UK. Pernod Ricard acquired a majority share in the fast-growing, Louisville-based brand in 2019.

In calendar year 2021, Rabbit Hole experienced record growth across all four of its core whiskey SKUs, with the brand nearly doubling in size, the company says in a press release. “The momentum continued in January 2022, gaining high double digit growth across all four of the brand’s core whiskey expressions.”
Rabbit Hole launched in the Western Canada provinces of British Columbia and Alberta in October 2021, and its distribution will expand into Eastern provinces, including Quebec and Ontario, in April and May of this year. The brand’s distribution drive will continue throughout calendar year 2022 and beyond, to include markets such as Ireland, France, Italy, South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and Japan.
