Anchor Brewing Company rolls out new West Coast IPA to join the brewery’s year-round portfolio of beers, which includes last year’s releases, Tropical Hazy IPA and Crisp Pilsner.

“Our West Coast IPA is a celebration of our Bay Area roots, and Anchor’s long history with dry hopping,” said Assistant Brewmaster Dane Volek, who leads Anchor’s innovation team. “We’ve been experimenting with variations at Public Taps, our taproom in San Francisco, and perfecting our version of this respected style to land on this vibrant and balanced beer.”

West Coast IPA is meant to celebrate the evolution of Anchor’s dry-hopping processes, as well as the brand’s history. The 7.0% ABV IPA is brewed with a combination of Nugget, Citra, Sultana, and Cascade hops, with aromas of mandarin, grapefruit zest and fresh pine, according to the company.

West Coast IPA is now available in cans with a suggested retail price of $9.99 per 6-pack and on premise at bars and restaurants.
