The “B” is the second in a three-part A, B, C release series. The “5” represents the month released, May. The “22” at the end stands for the year.
This is Heaven Hill’s wheated mash bill recipe, lending itself to sweeter flavors. The mash bill is 68% corn, 20% wheat and 12% malted barley.
Every release in this annual series ages six to eight years, bottled straight from the barrel. The proof and flavors vary by release.
Larceny Barrel Proof B522 is 123.8 proof. It will roll out nationwide for a suggested retail price of $59.99 per 750-ml. bottle.
This follows the release of Larceny Barrel Proof Bourbon A122.
