The leading Portland, OR craft brewer Widmer Brothers has unveiled new branding, the first packaging change for the classic brewery in 38 years.
What’s changed? In the new logo, the large “W” has become the most important part of the design, which also features wheat, nodding to Hefeweizen, the beer the brand is best known for.
“The new packaging is simple, clean, and classy,” the company says in a press release, “uniting the Widmer Brothers beers under a cohesive approachable brand identity full of history and pride.”
The beer inside has not changed.
The iconic Portland brewery itself has gotten a refresh, opening its doors for tours that highlight the heart of the brewery, the brand new Quality Assurance space that brings together brewers, leadership and fans.
