Laphroaig has officially announced the release of the newest Laphroaig Cairdeas edition, Laphroaig Cairdeas 2023 White Port & Madeira Casks, made for the Friends of Laphroaig.
Created in 1994, Friends of Laphroaig is a loyalty program for scotch fans across the globe. By buying a bottle of Laphroaig, Friends of Laphroaig receive their own plot of land at the distillery and benefits for all things Laphroaig, including being the first to know about the annual Cairdeas releases.
Every year, Laphroaig releases a new liquid to fans; Cairdeas, means “friendship” in Gaelic. This whisky matured in a combination of Madeira and White Port casks.
The new release has notes ranging from cinnamon, ground ginger, and charred orange on the nose to hazelnut and dark chocolate on the palate, with a peaty and salty finish, the company reports.
Laphroaig Cairdeas 2023 White Port & Madeira Casks is now available at retailers across the U.S. and pre-sale on ReserveBar for a suggested retail price of $99.
This follows the launch of Laphroaig Càirdeas 2022 Warehouse 1 Scotch whisky.
