Old Overholt Releases 4-Year-Old Straight Rye Whiskey

Old Overholt 4-Year-Old Straight Rye Whiskey 4 year years old four

The classic brand Old Overholt Straight Rye Whiskey will increase their signature 86-proof liquid to a four-year age statement.

This age benchmark pays homage to Overholt’s 1942 original age statement, the company says, marking a return to the liquid’s historical roots.

An introduction to the four-year statement is showcased on the front and back of the new label, facilitating the discontinuation of the current three-year SKU.

“Bringing the age statement back to 4 Year allows us to provide a more tried-and-true version of Overholt we know and love,” says Tim Heuisler, American whiskey ambassador for Beam Suntory. “Neat or in a classic cocktail, the 4 Year really shines, and we’re excited to give our friends and fans something ‘new’ to enjoy.”

“A home bar favorite and bartender staple, Old Overholt has always offered imbibers and rye enthusiasts alike a super reliable, high-quality rye,” he adds.

Old Overholt 4-Year-Old has a dark honey color with aromas of rye spices and pepper, mixed with apple and floral notes and a hint of vanilla and leather, the company reports. On the palate is a full-body taste with a balance of black pepper, spice, coffee, char and dark fruits.

Old Overholt 4-Year-Old rolls out nationally this summer for a suggested price of $19.99 per 750-ml. bottle.
