Proof and Wood has announce the launch of “Blame Canada!”, a 22-year-old Canadian Rye Whiskey.
This spirit was distilled in Canada at the historic Lethbridge Distillery in Alberta.
“Blame Canada” was bottled in fourteen single barrels, with the proof ranging between 117 and 119.
The whiskey’s golden color is a visual hint at its age, as well as the barrels used during its maturation with a mashbill of 91% rye and 9% corn. On the nose, “Blame Canada” has spicy and sweet aromas, the company reports. The palate contains oak notes with the classic rye spice. The finish is a balance of spice and sweetness.

The suggested retail price is $199 per 750-ml. bottle.
