Bottled at 118.2 proof, B521 is the second edition of Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Bourbon for 2021, following A121.
Like each previous edition, this 12-year-old bourbon is non-chill-filtered, and uncut to preserve all the natural esters and taste components from the barrel to the bottle. This creates variance in proof from batch to batch, an exercise for whiskey fans.
Elijah Craig Barrel Proof B521 offers the chance to taste the lowest proof yet in the series. The first batch from this year, A121, was 123.6 proof.
The suggested retail price for this newest release is $69.99 per 750-ml. bottle.
