Cascade Hollow Distilling Co., maker of George Dickel Tennessee Whisky, has announced the launch of their new Cascade Moon 13 Year Old Rye.
Made by General Manager and Distiller Nicole Austin, this is meant to complement the brand’s series of premium launches with a rye offering.
The barrels containing aging rye arrived at Cascade Hollow in 2012. They spent nearly a decade in Cascade Hollow’s single-story rickhouses.
“The Cascade Moon series is a collection of some of our most unique and rare whiskies. Each release has its own unique story behind the innovation and mastery of its making,” says Austin. “With this release, I’m excited to offer drinkers a beautifully aged rye whisky unlike anything else we’ve released in the series.”
Cascade Moon 13 Year Old Rye is 100 proof. It has notes of vanilla, toffee, leather and nutmeg, the company reports, before an oaky finished.
This whisky starts rolling out in Tennessee, Texas and California for a limited time only, at a suggested retail price of $299 per 750-ml. bottle.
This follows the previous two releases in the line, Cascade Moon Whisky Edition No. 1 and Cascade Moon Edition No. 2. The latter celebrated the 150-year anniversary of George A. Dickel whisky.
