Rogue Ales & Spirits is starting 2019 with two new year-round IPAs: Outta Line, a bright, honey-colored West Coast-style IPA, and Batsquatch, a juicy, hazy IPA with tropical aromas and flavors.
Outta Line is a quintessential West Coast-style IPA that opens with tangerine and mango, the company says, balanced by malt sweetness and a crisp hop bite.
Batsquatch is a Hazy IPA dedicated to the half-bat, half-sasquatch creature that, according to legend, resides in the woods on Mount St. Helens, the company says. The first hazy IPA in Rogue’s year-round lineup, Batsquatch features tropical aromas, flavors of stonefruit and tangerine, and a fruity citrus rind finish.
Batsquatch and Outta Line aren’t palate destroyingly bitter, the company says, but they are intentionally brewed with strong hop character.
Outta Line is 6.9% ABV with 66 IBUs. It’s made with Mosaic, Simcoe, and Rogue Farms Rebel hops, and 2-Row, Munich, GWM Brūmalt malts, and wheat. It’s now available nationwide, year-round, in 6-pack 12-oz. cans and bottles, and on draft.
Batsquatch Style is 6.7% ABV with 45 IBUs. It’s made with Mosaic, El Dorado, and Belma hops, and 2-row malt, flaked wheat, malted wheat. It’s now available in Oregon and Washington, year-round, in 6-pack 12-oz. cans, and draft. National distribution of Batsquatch will begin March 1, 2019.
