Dom Ruinart Rosé 2009 has launched.

Back in 2009, extreme weather conditions heavily disrupted the flowering process for months, and them were faced with a dry summer, the company says. These summer conditions allowed for the perfect maturation of the grapes until the mid-September harvest.

The result is a nose of cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger, the company reports, which mingle with citrus aromas such as blood orange and kumquat. Second impressions are more floral, with violet and peony complemented by fresh, iodised oyster shell notes. The palate is red fruits such as pomegranate and redcurrant.

The suggested retail price is $380 per 750-ml. bottle.
