Anchor Brewing announces the national release of Anchor Saison Spring Ale, a Belgian-style ale with a California twist.
First released in California only in March of 2014, this seasonal brew is now spreading to the entire country.
By using locally cultured saison-style yeast and adding lemongrass, lemon peel, and ginger, Anchor Brewing put their own twist on this classic beer style. Mark Carpenter, Brewmaster at Anchor Brewing, suggests pairing this herbal, citrusy beer with seafood dishes like sushi, which typically pair well with the spicy flavors of ginger.
Anchor Saison Spring Ale is now available nationwide in 6-packs and draught at select retailers and at the Anchor Brewing Taproom in San Francisco.
