Cupcake Vineyards has announced the addition of Cupcake Vineyards Butterkissed Chardonnay 2016 to the brand’s permanent offerings.
Cupcake Vineyards’ Monterey County Chardonnay, the second biggest SKU in the Cupcake Vineyards portfolio, has a lighter style, the company says. Winemaker Jessica Tomei presents a “complex and decadent take” on the varietal after 100% malolactic fermentation on American and French oak, resulting in a smooth-creamy mouthfeel, buttery notes and hints of vanilla, the company says.
The brand launched a limited-time offering of Cupcake Vineyards Butterkissed Chardonnay with the 2015 vintage. “Cupcake has such a loyal fan base, I’m pleased to be able to respond to our consumers’ wine preferences by making Cupcake Vineyards Butterkissed Chardonnay a permanent part of our portfolio,” says Jessica Tomei. “While both our Monterey County Chardonnay and Butterkissed Chardonnay are such different expressions of the varietal, they are both delicious paired with food and friends.”
The Cupcake Vineyards Butterkissed Chardonnay 2016 is a blend of fruit from vineyards in the Central Coast and Central Valley. It is available nationally for a suggested retail price of $10.99 per 750-ml. bottle.
