The wine brand Invivo X, Sarah Jessica Parker (SJP) has announced the second vintage of its French rosé, available nationwide this June.
The 2020 vintage comes after the success of the first vintage release, the 2019.
Created by Jessica Parker and brand co-founders Tim Lightbourne and Rob Cameron of Invivo, this rosé comes from a family estate in Provence that runs nearly entirely on solar energy.
“Blending the new Rosé was a fulfilling experience and we are excited to finally share it with everyone,” says Jessica Parker. “This year’s vintage feels so different to our last, but still has that typical dry style that is unique to the South of France. It has so much complexity and such a fragrant nose filled with wild French strawberries. I’ve never smelled a wine quite this fragrant before, and I wonder if people will almost believe it’s real because of that.”
The 2020 rosé is classically Provence pale pink in color. The nose is bright with perfumed aromas of red berries and stone fruit, the company reports. The palate is crisp with an array of fruitful flavors such as citrus and red apple. The vegan-friendly wine goes with a variety of cuisine, including plant-based foods, and pairs well with grilled fish, oysters, steak, frites and salads.
A blend of grenache, cinsault and syrah, the grapes for Invivo X, SJP Rosé come from the “Golden Triangle,” in Saint Tropez, inland between Puget-Ville, Les Arcs and Le Thoronet Abbey, which was built in the late-12th and early-13th centuries.
A businesswoman and entrepreneur, Sarah Jessica was involved in every step of the winemaking process with her partners, the company says, from blending to bottle and merchandise design, to serving on the board of Invivo USA.
To give back, the Invivo X, SJP team partnered with FEED. From the 2020 Invivo X SJP vintage proceeds, Invivo will donate funds to provide 27,500 school meals every month in 2021 (330,000 across the year).
